It is no secret that Ali Kiba loves football. The singer has even confessed on more than one occasion that he would have been a footballer had he not been successful in his music career.

Well, seems his big dream is about to come true.

The ‘Chekecha’ hitmaker is set to sign for Premier League club Coastal Union which was promoted last season.

This is according to the club chairman, Steven Mguto, who revealed to E FM that they are currently in talks with the musician to sign him.

Mguto stated that Kiba was not physically fit but is a good player none the less.

It remains unclear if the bongo sensation who got married in April this year, will put ink to paper as time is running out and whether he is taking a break from music.

This is a possibility after he took a three-year music break before coming back with a bang with major hits in 2015.

Some are, however, skeptical, saying that the act was a deliberate action to promote the club’s image rather than Kiba’s expertise in the field.

The club has won two Nyerere Cups and one Tanzania Mainland League cup.
