Entebbe chief magistrates’ court has committed Godfrey Wamala to the High Court for trial for allegedly killing Ugandan singer Moses Ssekibogo - popularly known as Mowzey Radio.

According to local media reports, Julius Muhiirwe, the state prosecutor, had earlier told the court that they have obtained enough evidence implicating Wamala.

Muhiirwe added that the evidence squarely placed the suspect at the scene-of-crime.

The celebrated artist was reportedly beaten at De Bar in Entebbe early this year and sustained grave head injuries.

He was rushed to Case hospital, Kampala, where he died two weeks later on January 1.

Wamala, who worked as a bouncer at De Bar, was later arrested following reports that he had been involved in a fist fight with Radio.

He was charged with murder and is currently being remanded at Kigo Prison.
