A man was mauled to death by a bear after he reportedly stopped and tried to take a selfie with it.
Prabhu Bhatara was on his way home from a wedding when he jumped out of the SUV he was travelling in to go to the toilet.
He is believed to have spotted the injured bear and tried to take a selfie with the animal, it is claimed.
Others in the vehicle cautioned him against taking the photo, but he was attacked when he got too close.
Forest officials, who had to tranquilise the bear to recover his body said a stray dog tried to fight with the bear but failed to save the man.
