After it emerged that Kenyan singer Eunice Njeri ditched her husband only hours after their marriage, the pastor who officiated the wedding now says the singer is still bound by her vows.
The Unatosha singer changed her mind about Izzo after the vows, according to an update she posted last week.
“On November 27, 2016, Isaac and I did go to the altar to get married, but at the end of that day I realised one thing, I couldn’t do it (as) my heart was somewhere else...I immediately left for Kenya and have been serving God the best way I know how,” she said of the Texas ceremony that has now left many shocked.
“To all who supported Isaac and I am grateful. May God bless you immensely. To all who were hurt in the process I apologise. The marriage was annulled (like it never happened). No papers were signed,” she wrote.
The Neema Gospel Church, Texas, pastor has reportedly contradicted the singer, saying the couple indeed signed certificates and remain a couple.
