The Hello singer admitted she used to "put her foot in it" when it came to posting messages on the social media site
Adele has revealed her management team once banned her from using Twitter - because she kept tweeting while drunk.
The Hello singer has admitted she's not allowed to send her own messages anymore because she used to "put [her] foot in it" by writing inappropriate messages a few years ago.
Adele now has more than 23million followers on the social media site.
During a segment called "rumour has it" during the taping of TV special 'Adele at the BBC' , she was asked about the claims and admitted: "This is true.
"I'm not a drinker any more but when Twitter first came out I was drunk tweeting and nearly put my foot in it quite a few times.
"So my management decided they needed to go through two people and then it all has to be signed off by someone."
However, the 27-year-old singer insists she does still write her own online messages.
She added: "They're all my tweets, no one writes my tweets, they just write them [out] for me. So yeah, that's very, very true."
