| Rapper wants a statue of himself erected |
Bongo rapper Fid-Q feels the time is right for his city Mwanza to honour him with a statue at Mwanza Gardens. The rapper, who has been in the game for nearly two decades, met authorities of the town to give his point of view concerning the matter.
“I recently met the Mayor of Mwanza and explained to him that the city needs to erect statues of artistes including me who have been at it for fifteen years for arts to be more appreciated,” said Fid-Q to Mkasi TV. “Younger people need to get inspired through such things. We need museums named after us.”
Fid Q lamented that the city was way behind other cities in Tanzania in appreciating and growing the arts sector.
