It was a bitter sweet day for the Late Kaberere’s family as they welcomed a baby girl into the world, barely eight hours after laying Peter Kahura Kaberere to rest.
His wife, Njesh Kahura, who was due any day, gave birth on Friday night to beautiful baby Njoki.
In a Facebook statement from Dj Mo, who worked with Kaberere, he said, “A beautiful baby girl was born to Njesh wa Qabbz last evening. Thank you for the comforting and congratulatory messages. The family has requested we avoid posting or sharing the pictures of the baby – let’s respect the privacy of this family. Once again, we appreciate you and thank you for standing with us. Be blessed.”
Kaberere passed away last Sunday after been electrocuted at his car wash in Lower Kabete. Sources cite a fault in the car wash machine.
The gospel artist was laid to rest at the Langata cemetery on Friday after a memorial service at NPC, Valley Road.
Njesh gave a simple touching tribute to her late husband on social media;
"Fare thee well my Beloved Peter Kaberere.....Say hi to Priscilla. ...What a legacy....So so proud....Dance with the Angels."
We at SDE congratulate Njesh Kahura and the family on the birth of baby Njoki.
