Police in Machakos have launched a manhunt for a gang which brutally murdered two young women after raiding a bar in Yaitha market along Machakos-Wote Road.
The gang struck at around 2am Wednesday where they forcefully broke into a bar, stole unknown amount of cash and later went into a killing spree in two of the rooms in the lodgings.
Police believe one of the women was raped before being attacked with crude weapons during the night of terror.
Machakos sub-county police commander, Joseph Tenai confirmed the incident, saying the motive of the killing was not immediately established.
"There were visible deep cuts on the faces of the two women. One of the bodies was found lying on the bed while the other one was on the floor," said Tenai.
