Embu County Assembly Deputy Speaker Ibrahim Swaleh was yesterday arraigned before a court after being linked to alleged conspiracy to murder.
Senior Principal Magistrate Paul Biwott released him on a Sh100,000 cash bail and ordered him to report to the Embu CID boss every day for six days.
Earlier, Swaleh underwent a three-hour interrogation by CID officers at the Embu Regional Police headquarters.
He had presented himself in response to summons issued to him on Tuesday.
He was told he was a key witness in a case where a mother and her son are accused of conspiring to murder Embu businessman Morris Muchiri Nyaga. The case will be mentioned on March 25.
