Two people from one family have died after consuming herbal medicine in Maliki village, Kwanza, Trans Nzoia County.
Trans-Nzoia County Commander Fredrick Ochieng confirmed the incident which has left two other members of the family fighting for their lives at Kitale Level 4 hospital.
The deceased were a man and his son and they were survived by his daughters
According to neighbours, the man had prepared the herbs and shared them with his children before he developed severe stomach complications and died.
His son, who suffered a similar complication, also died.

Neighbours rushed the survivors to the hospital where they are receiving treatment.
The two bodies were removed to Kitale hospital mortuary as police in the area launched investigations.
