Milimani Law Courts shall be closed for the next 14 days
after a member of staff tested positive for Coronavirus.
This is according to a statement signed by Chief Justice
David Maraga, which divulged that the said person also came into contact with
several others.
“The leadership of the Judiciary has, in consultation with
the leadership of Milimani Law Courts as well as the Ministry of Health, taken
the necessary steps to suspend physical court operations.
“This will enable all the members of staff at Milimani Court
to self-quarantine and thereafter get tested before resumption of physical
operations,” read the statement.
Adding: “Milimani Law Courts shall be closed for the next 14
days with effect from 30th July 2020.

“During this period, extremely urgent matters shall be dealt
with on online platforms.”
This comes as the country announced 544 new cases. Out of
the 544, 340 are male while 204 are female.
Unfortunately, 12 lives were lost in the last 24hours taking
the number of fatalities to 311.
Health CS Mutahi Kagwe also asked young men to be careful
saying no one knows the long-term effects of the virus.
113 more patients were discharged taking the cumulative number of recoveries to 8021.
