The Senator for Lamu
County Hon. Anwar Loitiptip has urged police to fasten investigations over the
shooting of his father on Sunday.
Senator Anwar noted
that his father, David Kiwaka, suffered injuries after being shot on the leg.
The officer who
allegedly shot Anwar's father is based at Doldol Police Station, in Laikipia.
Anwar condemned the
shooting of his dad for failure to put on a mask. Mr. Kiwaka was taken to Nanyuki
Hospital, where he is reportedly responding well to medication.
Hon. Anwar vowed not
to relent in pushing for justice over the illegal shooting of his father.

He has urged an
arrest over the involved officer, adding that justice must be served.
