A Nakuru man has been charged for raping a 79-year-old woman.
John Njogu appeared before Nakuru Chief Magistrate Elizabeth Usui yesterday for plea.
He is alleged to have raped Ann Wambui, the old woman on August 3, 2019 at Ligogo area in Nakuru North Sub-county, within Nakuru County.
Njogu is also said to have committed an indecent act to the woman by allegedly touching her private parts.
The accused has denied both charges.

He also appealed to court to release him on a reasonable bail term.
Magistrate Usui released him on a bond of Sh300,000 with a surety of similar amount.
The case will be mentioned on August 19 and be heard on September 30.
Njogu was arrested on August 4 and he has been in custody at Bahati Police Station since then.
