Bandari goalkeeper Farouk Shikalo has said he is open to leaving the club after the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Egypt.

Shikalo has been linked with a move to Tanzanian giants Yanga who two weeks ago claimed to have signed the player, a move he has denied.

“I have not made a decision yet about my future. That has to wait until after the Africa Cup of Nations finals.

“Having said that, I have received several offers and have been speaking to several teams. If anything better comes up, I will take it,” he said.

He said football being a short span career, he cannot let up a good opportunity if it comes by.

“I have given my best years to Bandari and I am sure they will not have a problem letting me go if a good opportunity comes up for me.

“I have resisted some offers before to stay behind and help them and I believe that when that time comes, they will also let me move on.

“It is a discussion we have had and my belief is that there will be no bad blood.”

Shikalo has had two wonderful seasons with the dockers who finished runners-up in the league twice in a row.

Bandari are also the current Sportspesa Shield champions and will represent the country in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Losing Shikalo, one of the key players in his squad, would not be something coach Bernard Mwalala will be keen to entertain as he is more concerned about building a formidable side that will not only play well in CAF Matches but also win the league title.
