PHOTOS: Doctors design device to help X-Ray children

Pictures of children being squished into a glass contraption showing them getting X-rayed in a device called the Pigg-O-Stat have left internet users in stitches.

Pigg-O-Stats have been used since 1960 and according to the designers, it's meant to prevent children from moving and also protecting them from exposure to harmful radiation while being scanned.

"The Pigg-O-Stat is an all-in-one pediatric immobilisation device designed for positioning infants and young children for an appropriate X-ray without significant complications," piggostat.com wrote on its website.

The device is clearly uncomfortable for many children who were forced to endure the weird procedure that helps to keep them still.
