A first term MP from Rift Valley with a penchant for issuing handouts to voters landed in the hands of robbers when he got out of his car to give cash to a group of boda boda riders.
The MP was reportedly driving past a group of riders – at around 10 in the night – who on spotting his car cheered him wildly and asked him to stop and greet them.
Excited, the MP walked out of the car to the riders, and was followed by his bodyguards, leaving the driver alone in the car.
