A family in Mkapuni, Rabai sub-county, is mourning their son who was killed on Christmas Day.
Gift Lwambi Juma's family believes he lost his life in a love triangle.
Lwambi, a student at Bofu Secondary School, had attended a night disco in the neighborhood on the night of December 25 before he was killed. The 19-year-old was to join Form Four next week. “It is unfortunate that a young boy would lose his life in the hands of another man all in the name of love,” a neighbor said.
Kombo Mdzombo reportedly hit Lwambi (pictured) with a metallic object. The suspect is thought to have been pursuing a Form One student at Kasidi Secondary School believed to have been Lwambi's girlfriend. Kombo is also suspected of defiling the 15-year-old girl after hitting Lwambi.
