The hunt for Sharon Otieno's killers is a true test for the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), tasked with nailing the “high and mighty” engaged in crime, lawmakers have said.
Women representatives Pamela Odhiambo (Migori) and Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay) yesterday described the killing as barbaric and cowardly.
Ms Wanga insisted that all senior politicians linked to the death must be questioned by DCI and charged if found culpable.
“We want the real person involved in this matter arrested and charged for this brutal murder. The authorities must get to the bottom of the matter in not more than 48 hours,” she said.
Speaking in Homa Bay town, National Assembly Public Accounts Committee chairman Opiyo Wandayi said the matter should not be treated lightly.
