Methodist Church presiding bishop Joseph Ntombura has cautioned against rushing to change the law.
Speaking yesterday during a thanksgiving service at Kenya Methodist University in Meru, the cleric warned against making amendments that would water down devolution gains.
“Let's rework areas that have not been sufficiently supporting devolution,” he said. Kaaga Synod Bishop Catherine Mutua and several other clerics from Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties attended the event.
He said the Constitution should be given time to work.
“We must be very cautious against derailing the gains of devolution when talking about the Constitution. Amendments should not be done hurriedly,” he said
