An MP appeared before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Malindi over claims that she had threatened to kill a member of the public.
Ezra Bidii alleged that Kilifi Woman Representative Aisha Jumwa threatened to kill him after he fell out with her. Bidii had been Jumwa's staunch supporter.
Confirming the incident, Malindi DCIO Anthony Sunguti said they summoned Jumwa immediately the complainant filed a report and that they had launched investigations.
He added that Jumwa appeared before him and recorded a statement after an hour of grilling.
Jumwa, however, denied threatening anyone and challenged Bidii to provide evidence to support the allegations.

"People have individual rights to support whoever they want in politics and by leaving my camp it doesn't mean that I must kill them to make it in politics," she said.
