An Australian Member of parliament who got injured as he laughed hard at a TV satire show is now worried that some voters might be put off because of his appearance.
Speaking to the press on Saturday Graham Perret said the accident he had on Thursday which has left him with a bruised eye and three stitches is likely to make him lose some of the voters who vote for him basing on his physical appearance.
The MP praised a medical staff who looked after him saying that he felt better off after being treated. He also confirmed that he might have lost a lot of blood because by the time he was being taken to the hospital by his wife there was blood everywhere in the room.
“ The accident I had was one of those bizarre accidents that left me in a lot of pain even though I was laughing. The doctors have taken good care of me and I now feel well,” said Perret.
Perret knocked himself out on a kitchen counter after laughing so hard to hysterics by American comedy Veep and choking on his supper.
