Curtains will today at 5.30pm fall on a two weeks of exhilarating 2016 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations football with what is expected to be an explosive final match between champions the Super Falcons of Nigeria and hosts Cameroon’s the Indomitable Lionesses, at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium, Yaound?.
But just like the opening day ceremony, the organisers have promised to entertain fans and viewers across the globe all with performances and exciting moments about the West African nation during the closing ceremony.
This contest will revive memories of the AWCON finals of late 90s and last edition’s as the two rivals face each other for a third time.
In their first two legged final held in 1991, Nigeria hammered Cameroon 6-0 on aggregate before thrashing them 5-0 in the 2004 finals held in South Africa.
