One
would be mistaken to imagine that Kenyans have discovered a new pastime known
as meat eating.
After
the President visited a nyama choma outlet in Kenyatta Market, people have been
streaming to the kiosk; the butcher is smiling all the way to the bank.
The
meat comment has added a political angle to the way Kenyans interpret issues.
For those leaning towards the Jubilee side, it means they are comfortable with
the status quo. Anybody critical of the Government is deemed to be on the
salivating side.
The
best way the opposition can make political capital is to parade their brigades
of supporters eating fruits. From a healthy point of view, fruits offer a
longer life span compared to meat.
