Euro 2016 kicked off with a sensational moment as France punished Romania in a 2-1 win in their Group A match opener.
Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud made his debut at Euro 2016 by scoring a goal in the 57th minute of the second half. His opponent Bogdan Stancu saved Romania by netting a goal in the 65th minute.
Dimitri Payet salvaged France welcome mission in the 89th minute by scoring a superb winning goal against Romania.
However, Giroud was booked with a yellow card in second half, while Romania's Vlad Chiriches, Razvan Rat and Adrian Popa were booked in the first and second half respectively.
