Despite the fact that teachers, like other Kenyan citizens, have a democratic right to vie for various political posts and fully participate in the democratic process, they ought to remember that they hold a very important position in the country-nurturing the youth.
Some teachers have perpetually been spotted attending political meetings, rallies and other political functions when they are supposed to be attending to their professional duties.
When teachers attend to political matters during school days and working hours, it is our children who suffer. Teachers should remain professional for better performance.
