A man from Murang’a was set ablaze by his wife. According to neighbors, the deceased, a shop owner and a father of two arrived home at midnight after spending the day at a get together party in his rural home.
A quarrel started between the couple that led to a fight.
A few hours later at around 2am, the neighbors were woken up by the couples’ children screaming for help.
The wife had doused the couple’s bed with paraffin and torched it while her husband slept.
She then proceeded to lock the door from outside and ran away a few metres from her house.
