The governor, senator and ten MPs from Kiambu County have not been reading from the same script despite being in the same political party. Kiambu's leadership rivalry has now lasted over three years and there are no signs of reconciliation.

They all belong to one party and you can imagine; has this party ever called a meeting of its members over the past three years? No, Kiambu is a developed County and most infrastructures are in place. But the constant wrangles are a drawback to future development.

The president has also expressed his sentiments about the Kiambu leaders’ rivalry and it is not good. What if voters decide to do away with all of them, who will be the loser? Kiambu is blessed by universities, colleges and other businesses which attract investors as far as abroad, but the investors are not happy with the leaders who cannot cooperate to improve the lives of the residents.

Recently they took their wrangles to Mombasa. Why can't they extend an olive branch to one another? Why can’t churches unite them? To tell the truth voters will vote in only those who had development agendas and not those who were seen in the media being abusive. Kiambu as a county will lag behind despite electing development-minded MP’s, senators and Governors. Let them unite for the sake of cohesion. United they will stand divided they will fall.
