Ensure all chiefs get motorbikes

The recent gesture by the Government to issue motorbikes to chiefs and their assistants is spot on. Chiefs are the eyes of the Government and their work is very critical in ensuring that public peace is maintained.

In most cases, they prepare the ground for other officials.

While Government employees attend public functions driven in luxurious limousines, chiefs and their assistants have to make do with public transport or even walk.

It is our expectation that the Office of the President will ensure that all chiefs get motorbikes.
