Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma has appealed to President Uhuru Kenyatta to invite Opposition leader Raila Odinga and discuss ideas on tackling corruption that is crippling the country's economy.
Ranguma has said that the president should view the Opposition as an alternative government, and strive to incorporate its ideas in matters corruption.
"Corruption affects us all, it should therefore be fought by everybody. I appeal to the president to borrow some ideas from the former Prime Minster in order to fight this menace," said Ranguma.
Ranguma who was addressing the press in Kisumu Monday, faulted Uhuru for using personal issues as a way of intimidating and harassing Raila.
He alleged that the president is allowing emotions to take toll on him in tackling the Eurobond saga.

"It is unfair to use threats against any person who highlights graft in our country. The former premier has raised questions about the proceeds from the Eurobond loan, and as a civilized society we should give answers instead of intimidation," added Ranguma.
Ranguma said that, Raila has the right to give information from wherever he wants and nobody should compel him to visit any office.
He reiterated that corruption has painted a bad picture of Kenya to the outside world, and anybody who fights it has the county's full support.
"As a county government, we will stand with Raila to ensure corruption becomes a thing of the past. We want investors to come and boost our economy, and we won’t allow corruption to turn them away", added Ranguma.
He said that demonstrations held in Kisumu on Monday morning were a way of expressing solidarity with Raila Odinga.
