A woman who allegedly severed her husband's manhood in a village in Nyeri County has been charged in court.
Anne Njeri King'ori faced charges of assaulting and inflicting bodily injuries on her husband at Kiamariki village, Nyeri County.
Police stated that Njeri on June 4, 2015, unlawfully assaulted Daniel King'ori, thereby occasioning him actual bodily harm.
Njeri denied the charges before Nyeri Chief Magistrate John Onyiego and was granted a Sh20,000 bond until June 24 when the case will be heard.
The accused allegedly committed the offence at dawn on Thursday after her husband arrived home. The accused allegedly found condoms in her drunk husband's pockets, hence sparking off the attack. She allegedly attacked him with a kitchen knife.

King'ori was rushed to Nyeri Provincial General Hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
By the time of going to press, the accused had not raised the surety, and she was escorted to King'ong'o Prison.
