Considering the successes that Governor Alfred Mutua is making in Machakos County, one would expect the other counties lagging behind in development could learn from him.
I am especially making reference to my Kisumu Governor Jack Ranguma. He is one leader who is persistently faced with criticism and opposition from his deputy, Ruth Odinga.
In Machakos for instance, Dr Mutua has overcome such opposition and machinations from his opponents and has delivered to the people notable services.
His resolve to ignore the sideshows and work for the people has earned him a rating as Kenya’ s best governor.
I wish Mr Ranguma would emulate this work ethic and focus on delivery of services to the people. I should also mention that it would be a good learning opportunity for these county leaders to visit Machakos for benchmarking, instead of making those costly foreign trips to learn lessons that are readily available locally.

I urge the leadership to cultivate a sharing culture. They can do this from time to time by inviting other leaders to share with their executive.
Why for instance would Ranguma not invite Mutua to share his work ethic with the Kisumu executive?
