Three political parties in Mombasa want the COTU Secretary General, Mr Francis Atwoli to step aside following the war of words between him and the Cabinet Secretary, Mr Kazungu Kambi.
The TNA chairman in Mombasa, Mr Matano chengo, the URP coordinator, Mr Thomas Penda and the Amani vice chairman, Mr Patrick Mangale said COTU must work with or without, Mr Atwoli.
Mr Chengo said the demand to have COTU work with the current secretary general was wrong as the decisions made remain binding with or without him.
The URP coordinator, Mr Thomas Penda said the CS was protecting the interest of the Kenyan workers.
He said the COTU secretary has been in leadership position for the last 15 years and Kenyans continue to suffer.
