Nakuru, Kenya: A man, who told a Nakuru court he is a secondary school student yesterday admitted to damaging a police gun.
Charles Kabubi who was charged with malicious damage to property contrary to the law, admitted to willfully and unlawfully damaging a G3 rifle belonging to a police officer Mercy Njeri at Rongai District in Nakuru County.
Kabubi damaged the rifle, which is Government property, valued at Sh80,000 on January 22, after police officers stopped him while he was riding a motorcycle in the area.
The prosecution yesterday told Senior Principal Magistrate Louise Komingoi that Kabubi resisted police arrest and instead hit a police officer and damaged a magazine case of the G3 rifle.
