Nyandarua, Kenya: Shock engulfed Shamata village in Nyandarua County after a butcher killed himself using a knife in his butchery.
Simon Mburu, 33, was involved in a quarrel with his neighbour over a stolen cow when he got angry and used the knife to slit his throat.
According to residents, he opened his butchery as usual and locked himself inside.
John Njoroge, a neighbour, said they thought he was cleaning the premises only to hear him crying for help.
