Meru, Kenya: A Meru lawyer died in a road accident involving his vehicle and a lorry at Gatauga, along the Meru-Nkubu highway.
Victor Gituma, driving from Meru in his Mercedes Benz accompanied by a passenger, had a head-on-collusion with an on-coming lorry whose driver had lost control of it. Gatauga OCPD Silvester Githongo said the lorry was ferrying rocks from Kariene to Meru town.
“The driver of the Mercedes (Gituma) died on the spot while two occupants of the lorry and the passenger in the private car were rushed to Meru Level 5 Hospital with serious injuries,” said the OCPD.
Mr Githongo said the area of the accident is earmarked as a hot spot following a series of accident.
