Kenyan boxers will participate in two international championships as part of their preparations for the Commonwealth Games in Scotland in August.
Boxing Association of Kenya President John Kameta announced in Mombasa that Kenyan will host Zambian boxers in May in Nairobi. Kameta said Kenya has also been invited to participate in a 15-nation Lions tournament in Sri Lanka also in May.
As a result, Kameta said the national trials for the Commonwealth, which were scheduled for June have been brought forward to the first week of April. The boxing boss said the 11 boxers to be selected during the trials will represent the country in Zambia and Sri Lanka.
