Moyes in Italy, Neville in Spain - United step up January scouting

EPL: David Moyes has been spotted on a scouting mission in Italy this afternoon at the Serie A match between Cagliari and Juventus.

The Manchester United boss has said that the Premier League champions are unlikely to add to their ranks in January but Moyes’ presence at Stadio Is Arenas suggests otherwise.

Moyes is believed to be running the rule over Calgiari centre-back Davide Astori but will also be keeping a keen eye on Juve midfielders Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba, who was allowed to leave Old Trafford as a free agent 18 months ago. Table-toppers Juventus won the match 4-1, with none of the United targets on the scoresheet.
