Turkana County: Three suspects of Somali origin were arrested in an oil exploration site in Turkana South district following a tip by members of the public.
The suspects were held inside Tullow Oil compound in Lokichar, after detectives and security officers stormed and pounced on them.
Police declined to give details of the suspects, who are held at Lodwar police station. Sources said the suspects looked suspicious at the Tullow Oil compound prompting the public to alert security officers manning the oil sites.
Police said details on how the suspects found their way to the compound were still scanty. But police remained optimistic that the suspects would give more information.
