Police in Mombasa Thursday arrested a suspect linked to the Sh3 million drugs confiscated at the Moi International Airport on Wednesday.
The suspect, Vincent Baya, was caught with 90 pellets of narcotics as he was about to board a plane to China.
Mombasa Police Commandant Robert Kitur said Baya, aged 25, had been trailed for sometime and that drugs inside his body were detected as he walked through a scanner.
Kitur said, "Police from the airport arrested Baya on suspicion he was carrying narcotics in his rectum," said Kitur.
A female companion, Hawa Abdalla who was with him was also detained and is still being held at an undisclosed place.
