When the sun sets giving way to darkness in Mombasa’s South Coast, a magical reflection of amber lighting fall into a pool of water next to a architectural beauty giving forth a kaleidoscope of rippling reflections.
A few meters away, the same reflection is broken constantly by the splashing waves of Indian Ocean waters hitting the edge of the pristine white sandy beaches of Diani.
The faÁade of the building, painted in yellow and muted white and also illuminated by accent light gives the building a palatial look.

This is AfroChic, nestled at the edge of the 27km stretch of Diani beach, which is a luxurious and exotic hideaway for anyone searching for an exclusive holiday.
Afro-Arabic
The entrance is a skilfully chiselled Swahili door, arched shaped at the top with ornamented with diamond shaped stints of copper metal opens into a tastefully designed foyer.
A simple chandelier also artistically curved hangs in the middle of the entryway lending the room an Afrio-Arabic taste. Rustic hardwood furniture in rich brown colour welcomes one to rest their back on an orange conical shaped cushion.
The living room furniture combines sturdy Swahili furniture with muted white and orange cushions in canvas cases.
Black coloured and smoothly finished African woodcarvings add a dramatic look to the room. In the middle of the living room a fluffy brown area rug lies in a heap of soft leaves-shaped suade-like rugs giving the feet a soothing feel.

A piece of metal artwork shaped in an African woman serves as an ornament and a flowerpot holder. This adds a rustic feel that fuses with the woodcarvings and Swahili art pieces for a complete elegant look inspired from African dÈcor.
This is considered a boutique hotel with only ten rooms. One is an Executive suite called the Queen of Sheba Room. This stunning suite opens out on to a beautiful garden with a fishpond. An open airy feel has been achieved through huge arch-shaped openings on the wall that offer spectacular views of the Indian Ocean.
