Popular Kenyan TikTok personality Baba Talisha has opened up about his daughter’s recent diagnosis, years after a near-fatal accident changed her life forever.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, the content creator revealed that his daughter, Talisha, has officially been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Level 2, ADHD – Combined Type, and Dyslexia.
“Today, I write this with a heavy heart, but also with a heart full of love,” he began, before describing the emotional weight of receiving the news. “It shook me. I won’t lie. I cried. I questioned. I broke down.”
"As a parent, all you ever want is for your child’s life to be easy… not another mountain to climb,” he added.
The new diagnosis, Baba Talisha said, does not define her, but rather, helps make sense of her unique challenges.
“This diagnosis doesn’t define her. It explains her,” he wrote. “It helps us understand the battles she’s been silently fighting every single day.”
Talisha rose to fame in 2019 after surviving a devastating accident that left her with a severe head injury.
Since then, she has gone through years of therapy and rehabilitation.
Her journey back to life has often been described as miraculous by fans and supporters alike.
The diagnosis will now help shape a more targeted approach to Talisha’s care.
Her treatment plan includes a return to occupational and speech therapy, educational support services, and prescribed medication to assist in her daily functioning and development.
Online, Kenyans showed solidarity with the young star, sending messages of encouragement.
Dama Mobile Spares, a close friend of Baba Talisha shared, "Keep the hope alive, the faith alive and the fire burning...She is a warrior ,she is a fighter, she is a memory of her late mom, with God everything is possible."
Caroline Ogembo added, "Talisha is clearly so lucky to have a dad who loves her fiercely and sees her light no matter what. That love and belief make such a huge difference."
Yvonne Mwikali quipped, "The same God who saved baby T will be the same today and forever more, there's nothing to worry about because he who began that good work in her will surely complete it."
