Ukranian side Shakhtar Donetsk reached the Champions League round of 16 with a 2-1 victory over Manchester City on Wednesday, and their coach kept a promise to attend his news conference dressed as Zorro.

The Portuguese manager wore a mask, hat and cape at his post-match news conference, fulfilling a promise he’d made to dress up as the fictional vigilante if Shakhtar qualified from a group containing Favorites City and Napoli.

"This is the most joyful press conference of my career," Fonseca said.

"I feel great joy. I think not only Shakhtar's supporters but all Ukrainians have to be proud of our team."

Shakhtar Donetsk finished runners-up behind City and ahead of Napoli and Feyenoord to reach and could face Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Roma, Barcelona, Liverpool, Besiktas or Tottenham following Monday’s last-16 draw.
