The Meru County government has embarked on a programme of integrating information, communication technology (ICT) in delivery of services. The project is aimed at improving services rendered by different departments.
Lands, Planning and ICT Executive Martin Bikuri said installation of ICT infrastructure in the departments would translate into faster delivery of services.
"We are going to have online business licensing, payments and land management. With integration of ICT in, we are going to have an enhanced communication channel with residents," said Mr Bikuri.
He added: "The county website has been re-designed, enhancing connectivity in various departments," said Bikuri.
