Payments services provider JamboPay has been voted the most innovative fintech company at the Digital Inclusion Awards, beating a host of other local and international financial technology firms.
JamboPay enables businesses and governments to securely make and receive payments on web, mobile, partner banks and a network of 10,000 agents.
The firm provides payments to over 3,500 organisations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda. It has over 1.8 million subscribers of its e-wallet.
Several government entities have engaged the company to automate its revenue collection including Nairobi City County Government which recently migrated its services to the platform.
“This is a recognition of our continued focus in solutions provision to our customers,” said JamboPay Chief Finance Officer Dominic Kosgei.
