KK Security unveils national control centre to curb crime

KK Security has unveiled a national control centre (NCC) as part of its plans to provide technology driven security solutions in the region.

The firm has installed a “live” 24/7, 365 days connectivity to enhance security services in residential and commercial facilities.

It said the facility would be the communication hub and nerve centre of all its operations, thus enabling it to play a critical role in the dynamics of safety and security in Eastern Africa.

James Omwando, the group chief executive said with a pool of trained staff and advanced equipment, the firm is poised to meet the needs of the local market through flexibility, responsiveness and adaptability to prevailing situations.

He said the integrated solution that is fully digital will ensure that standards and continuity are not compromised.  “We have the expertise to help clients develop strategies to strike the optimum balance between costs, risks and desired outcomes,” said Omwando during the official launch of the facility at Racecourse off Ngong Road.

According to KK’s Security Technology Manager, George Obel, the facility will provide key security services which will not be confined to intelligence gathering and dissemination only.

“There are many options available such as alarm monitoring, vehicle, container and personal tracking to remote CCTV and access control management,” he added.

Obel explained that the control room would have the capacity to offer security beyond the homes and keep clients secured on the road besides at their desks through smartphone application.

It will provide extra security to commercial banks. One will have direct access to hidden cameras from their Smartphone/PC to verify events as they occur.
