Police in Nakuru are holding four men allegedly found in possession of Administration Police attire.
According to the officers, the four were arrested in a hotel in Nakuru town, as they prepared to commit a felony.
Nakuru Police Commander Johnston Ipara said numerous cases of impersonation of police and army officers had been reported in the town.
"Goons are using these uniforms to rob unsuspecting residents," he said. Mr Ipara said the four were arrested at Neema House where they illegally operated a hotel and bar.

"We realised they were not licensed to operate the business," he said.
Ipara noted that a beret with a badge, a shirt, a pair of trousers, a pair of boots, belt, socks and a T-shirt were recovered from the suspects.
