BBC journalist Larry Madowo on Monday met Sophia the robot in Barcelona, Spain, during the Global Mobile Awards (GLOMOA) and the robot went ahead to ask for an invitation to Kenya.
The former NTV anchor took a selfie with Sophia, posting it on his social media pages but Kenyans quickly made fun of him, asking him to pay dowry and bring the robot home.
Considered by some as an eligible bachelor, many joked that Madowo should now marry Sophia while others commented on their ‘striking resemblance.’
“Sophia is probably the most interesting ‘person’ I have ever met,” wrote the journalist.
