A senior education official implicated in an attempt to rig the elections has been released on a Sh200, 000 bond by a magistrate.
Salesa Adano Abudo appeared before Isiolo Chief Magistrate Samuel Mungai charged with attempting to bribe Justus Nzomo, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission co-ordinator for Saku constituency, to influence the appointment of presiding officers for the August elections.
The case will be mentioned on August 7 and hearing is set for September 13.
