There was a spectacle to behold at Worship Centre in Hamisi Constituency, Vihiga County when a furious woman stormed the church and violently disrupted a wedding.
With her four children in tow, the woman — claiming to be the estranged wife to pastor Christopher Mudogo, who was tying the knot — breezed in heckling, wailing and hurling expletives before pelting her alleged ex-husband and his bride with cow dung, which she had in a plastic bag.
The dirtied and stinking man of God — an upcoming gospel musician — found the going too tough that he fled at maximum speed, leaving behind his to-be wife and shocked congregates.
The woman, identified as Magdaline Cheruto, claimed they had been married for several years before her husband disappeared four years ago, only to learn that he was marrying another woman that day.
“How can he come to church and attempt to marry another woman, when I am still his wife?” Cheruto posed while wailing uncontrollably and rolling on the floor.

Not to be left behind, her children joined the fray, wailing in solidarity with their mother. All of a sudden, the pandemonium spiraled out of control, forcing embarrassed and shocked parishioners to leave the church.
“He took my kindness for weakness! He used me to make him babies for years and now he wants to leave me for another woman? Over my dead body!” The woman is quoted to have screamed. “He just can’t just leave me like that. See what he has done to my body,” she further yelled, pointing at her sagging tummy.
She went on and on to rant, threatening to strip, so that members of the church could see for themselves the devastating effects of giving birth back-to-back, courtesy of the pastor.
It took the intervention of embarrassed women in the congregation, who begged and restrained her, to stop her from undressing.
A destitute Cheruto revealed she had been locked out of her rented house on several occasion due to outstanding rent, children sent home for fees occasionally and forced to sometimes go out of her way to fend for them.
Slamming the rogue man of God, she called him an adulterer who will go to hell for using and dumping her.
She said her last born child, who is four years old, doesn’t even know him as his father, because the last time he saw him was when he was still an infant.
“I want my children to get their basic rights. How can a man just forget about his children and go ahead to marry another woman when he has not fully divorced me?” the visibly angry woman posed.
When we later caught up with the pastor, he refused to comment, saying it is a small matter that will be solved by police.
