The ratification of giving family planning services to adolescents is
tantamount to courting disaster. It is an indication of the increased
moral decay in our society .The parents who recommend the use of birth control
pills for their teenage kids are slowly but surely destroying them .
They are lighting the very flame they want to
extinguish, the flame of sexual immorality. Some of them will justify
themselves and say that they are protecting their kids from early pregnancies
that would destroy their lives. They are forgetting other social, physical
effects that come with teenage sex.
Parents have authority over their children and should use it well in order to shape the destiny of their children. Instead of teaching them on how to use birth control, they should teach them on abstinence. Tell them that they are able to wait until they are mature. Otherwise in the long run everyone is going to pay; the parents and the kids.
